Considering the current pandemic situation, governments worldwide have implemented several restrictions and measures for entry to different countries, ranging from the partial or total closure of their borders, quarantines at entry or others. We invite you to review the following summary in this regard:
Entrance to Chile
In Chile, since Wednesday, March 18, 2020 and until further notice, the Government has closed all land and sea borders and areas of our country for the transit of foreign persons. According to the information published in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all Chilean nationals and permanent residents in Chile, who return to the country, regardless of their country of origin, can enter under the Sanitary Customs and a mandatory 14-day quarantine. This does not affect the entry and exit of cargo or carriers, to continue guaranteeing normal supply.
Departures from Chile
Mandatory quarantine measures only apply to people entering Chile. There are no restrictions on leaving the country. However, the government suggests not making trips outside of Chile, which are not strictly necessary and if you do, you must consider the different restrictions imposed by the country you want to travel to.
Within the framework of COVID-19, the LATAM website has implemented an updated system that allows reviewing the documentation and entry requirements for international travel, which we suggest verifying before purchasing tickets.

In the Ministry of Foreign Relations you can find a daily update with the measures adopted worldwide in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
